I usually have to supplement with 3-5 oz of formula everyday :( I usually breastfeed but I pump occasionally to get an idea of how much breast milk my baby is getting. I’m hoping my supply goes back to normal (4-6 oz per pumping session) because right now it’s scary low (1-3oz per pumping session). I’m a single mom and I’m about to move across the country for graduate school. Nothing has worked :( I think my drop in supply is due to stress. The lactation cookies, lactation crackers, mother’s milk tea, milk flow chocolate drinks, milk flow coffee, Gatorade, increasing water supply. I’ve tried everything to get my supply up. Im honestly so sad that this product may not work for me. I’ve noticed my baby is only slightly more gassier, but nothing crazy. I’m going to stop taking the supplements tomorrow to see if my gas gets better. I thought it was due to something that I ate but I can’t think of anything that could have caused it. I have noticed that I’ve been so gassy lately. I have only tried liquid gold and I take it twice a day every other day. I have time liquid gold and the pump princess. It has me nervous to even try another product by then since this is now two that have seemed to be an issue potentially :( I kept sweating it so hard thinking I was doing something wrong, but now wonder if these products just aren’t a good fit. Has any else had this experience with their products? Again I only saw one review mentioning gas for one product so it had me wondering. I may try avoiding Milkapalooza tomorrow to see if it clears up like it did when I stopped Lactivist, but am definitely bummed about this since I wanted to see where a full week of taking it would bring me. I kept getting paranoid if it was something I ate but I can’t pinpoint anything new in my diet (he hasn’t reacted to any of the foods I had like this before) other than these supplements. He also did not poop yesterday when he was FINALLY regular after two weeks of struggles and issues getting there. When I woke him up for his feeding at 3am it was out of control how much he was farting! It made him so fussy. Today was day 4, and he has still been farting more than normal. I’m talking I ate a granola bar that had milk powder in the ingredients since it has a chocolate coating, salad dressing that had a tiny amount of dairy, etc, so it wasn’t like I was eating ice cream or large amounts of cheese. I thought this could have been something I ate- had a day where a few items I had contained tiny amounts of dairy but worried maybe it added up. This time it was extremely smelly and he was very upset. On day 3, little man had horrible gas again. I did realize it seemed to make my milk richer, but no increase in supply just yet. The Milkapalooza showed up a few days later so I jumped right into taking that. I did see one review on their site where someone mentioned it gave them and their baby bad gas which is what gave me the idea this could have caused it but it was the only review our of hundreds that I saw sharing that kind of experience. I stopped the Lactivist that day and realized the gas cleared up immensely once it was out of his system. The pediatrician said it’s too early to determine if he’s lactose intolerant but for now just scale back dairy intake- she said not to cut it out completely yet. I am lactose intolerant myself so I don’t have much dairy to start. I was told to limit my dairy since he seems to struggle with it based off experience with formula supplementation, but at this point I had not consumed any dairy or an extremely minuscule amount. I had a feeling it could be this product since it was the only new thing I had in my diet. He was farting much more than usual and was really struggling with it. After day 3, I realized my little man had really bad gas. I tried Lactivist first since that half of my order arrived earlier. I figured I would try each one separately to see what worked well or better, and saw these two could be taken in conjunction should I get great results from both. I decided to try Lactivist and Milkapalooza. I have tried everything imaginable and recommended with no success, and ordered their products per the LC’s recommendation and just reading quite a few success stories. I recently ordered some Legendairy products as a last and final attempt to increase my supply.
